This Recording Page is a set of messages that walked us through a health issue and the campaign to get my songs recorded before some serious surgery on my neck.
Happy New Year Everyone (January 2013)

I hope you had a blessed Christmas season and are watching for what the Lord has planned for you in the year ahead.

Thank you for your prayers and generous support of our current recording project. Enough money has been raised to record all of the music we had hoped. What a praise! We now have enough music completed for two full length CDs.  The next steps for the music are outlined later in this update.

There was a whole lot of God going on in our lives these past several weeks.  The recording went extremely well.  Jonathan Wyman at The Halo Recording Studio in Windham led me through the process once again with his expert guidance.  The other musicians and recording participants added their gifts for the effort as well.  It was a great blessing to have such awesome friends come along side me for Him. Thanks!  As for my health concerns:  My surgery went very well.  The doctor found more blockage than he had anticipated and so went a bit further in my carotid artery than expected, but he was very happy with the outcome.  I am blessed to report there was no change in my voice except for a rasp for the first few days due to the breathing tube.  There was no damage to the nerves related to my vocal capacity. Thank The Lord.

Many of you prayed for us, visited us, brought us meals, helped with snow removal, and coordinated efforts to give us the time we needed to focus on healing.  The healing has been going very well and we are so grateful for your love and support.  Thank you all.

Ok, so what's the next step for the music?  We want to be able to share the music with as many as possible. In order to do this the collection still needs to be 'mastered.' Mastering takes the mixed music and brings the song volumes to similar levels and 'smoothes' everything out, making the collection one cohesive presentation.  After the mastering, we will send the completed songs and artwork to a CD replicating company.

We needed to raise $10,000 to do the whole project. We were blessed to raise the money needed to record, but did not receive enough to do the mastering and printing.   Mastering and printing will be about $3,000.   If you would like to help get us through this final stage, please donate now. See the Donation button on this page. If you'd prefer to send us or hand us money that would help too.  We hope to be able to send the music to be mastered this month.

You are all welcome to these CDs when we get them.  Debbie and I have kept track of who has given money and you will all receive copies of the finished CDs when they come in.

Once again, thank you for all your support.  Only by joining together for His Glory is this music ministry is possible.

IHS,
Frank

Here's the latest (December 1, 2012),

(Only people who opened the first two messages are receiving this update)

As of right now we have received 57% of what we need to get the project completed. Thank you so much!  Studio time has been booked and recording will begin on December 1st.

We are blessed to know there are people wanting to help in this effort for The Lord.  If those who have not given were able to donate an average of $20, we would reach our goal.  Donating is easy, scroll down to the donate button.

You are the people who have joined us in this effort.  We continue to rely on His leading and perfect provision.  We appreciate your prayers and will keep you posted.

P.S.  I have left my original message on this page, just scroll down below the donate button and progress toward the goal thermometer.

Hi all (November 1, 2012),

This message is sent to you because you have been a supporter of the music ministry the Lord has given me. I have been so blessed by God to have been inspired with songs to write, audiences to share them with and generous friends and supporters like you who have made it possible to keep recording.

My wife, Debbie, and I have felt that these songs were given to me to minister with - to bring Christ to the hurting and searching. Early on we sensed that we should not profit from them, looking at it more as a music mission – a calling to bring the hope we have in Christ to people through songs. As with other missionaries, this work can’t be done alone.

With your help I have been able to record two EPs (shorter CDs) and attend national gospel music singer-songwriter competitions and conferences. In 2009 I was a semi-finalist in a national competition with one of my songs. I’ve been able to share my music in concerts, meetings, and as Worship Leader on Sunday mornings. Many people have said how much the music has ministered to them. I have been able to give CDs to total strangers who have contacted me later with gratitude for how the music has blessed them.

Right now I have several songs partially recorded and even more ready to complete. My hope is to finish recording the most recent songs before the end of the year (2012).

This is the reason I am writing to you now. I want to lay out my situation and ask for your help. As most of you know, in 2006 I had successful heart bypass surgery. It is likely that I will undergo another procedure before Christmas to address narrowing of my left Carotid Artery. One risk of this surgery is that my voice may be affected. There is a good chance there will be no change, but I feel compelled to make every effort to finish the project before the surgery.

My request for help is two-fold. First, please pray for Debbie and me as we walk through this time. We are trusting in God’s perfect plan for our lives, as we did with the bypass surgery, but we appreciate all the prayer support we can get.

Also, please pray for His will to be done. If I am to complete this work next month, I will need to raise money quickly (in the next three weeks) in order to reserve studio and engineering, time. What I hope to accomplish will cost just under $10,000. In one chunk that's a lot of money, but I'm not asking just one or two people to come alongside in this effort.

For some of you, prayer will be your help. Others will be able to give $20, some will be able to give $1,000 or more, as the Lord leads. As we have found over the years, “it all adds up.” Please know that we are grateful for any help you can provide.

Through the hard and the easy times, we hold on to Romans 8:28: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose."

Whatever happens, I know my life is such a gift. I just want to fulfill God’s purpose in it. As it says in Acts 20: 24: “… I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.”

If you feel you can help us in this work for The Lord financially, please email, text, Facebook message, call, or talk to me as soon as you can. In all things, pray for God’s will to be done. Thank you for your prayers and your love.
